Guitar Tools That Actually Answer the Question
Three things a guitar player looks up over and over: what does this chord look like, what happens if I put a capo on, and what note am I actually standing on. All three run in your browser, free, with nothing to install and no account to make.
Online Guitar Tuner
Tune your guitar through your microphone, accurate to a fraction of a cent. Ten tunings including drop D, DADGAD and open G, plus reference tones if you would rather tune by ear.
Open the tool arrow_forward searchGuitar Chord Finder
Find any guitar chord shape by name, or play a shape and let the tool name it. Every voicing is generated and checked for playability, with sound, so you hear the chord before your fingers commit.
Open the tool arrow_forward swap_vertCapo Chart and Chord Transposer
Paste a chord sheet, pick a capo fret or a new key, and read the shapes you actually play. Includes a full capo chart for all twelve keys and the two questions it answers in reverse.
Open the tool arrow_forward grid_onGuitar Fretboard Notes Map
Every note on the guitar neck, shown as note names or scale degrees, with a scale overlay and a timed trainer that stops you guessing and starts you knowing.
Open the tool arrow_forwardWhy we built our own
Most chord sites ship a fixed library of a few hundred hand-drawn shapes, which is why they run out the moment you ask for something like Ebm9. Our chord finder generates every fingering that fits inside a four-fret window, throws out the ones a hand cannot reach, and ranks what is left. The open position and all five CAGED positions come out of that on their own, without anyone typing them in.
The same goes the other way. Put your fingers somewhere on the neck, tap the shape in, and the tool tells you what you just played, including the slash-chord reading when the bass note is not the root.
